  1. How does Habitat for Humanity help people?

    Habitat for Humanity of Kanawha and Putnam County partners with our neighbors to improve access to affordable housing. With the help of generous volunteers and homebuyers, we build new houses as well as renovate others. Homebuyers then purchase their house through Habitat for Humanity of Kanawha and Putnam County.

  2. What kind of donations does Habitat for Humanity accept?

    Habitat depends on financial donations to fund our mission. These donations help our Habitat Partner’s build a place they can call home.

    We also operate two Habitat ReStores, which sell reusable and surplus building materials, furniture, appliances and much more. Our Mega ReStore is located in Charleston, West Virginia, and our Boutique ReStore is located in Teays Valley, West Virginia. Proceeds from ReStore sales are used to help people in our community build a better future.
